I was recently taken aback when I heard the news. 7 Billion. The number kind of snuck up on me. As for what lies beyond the ever growing population and the tremendous risk it puts our species and the planet in - I only have one thing to say: we need to make life multi-planetary. This may sound crazy but it needs to happen. We’ve got way too much riding on one tiny blue planet. It’s not a fantasy. It’s a matter of survival.
I have a kid.
One of my greatest fears is that she will want to be a performer of any kind.
Today was her first time on stage, at her ballet recital.
When she stepped off of the stage, she said, “I want to do that again.”
When we were putting her in bed, and asked what her favorite part of the day was, she said, “on the stage.”
Oh dear.
Tomorrow, I will tell her that math is awesome. She should get into math. Math math math.
