Dear Santa (or anyone reading this blog),
Please bring me The Complete Calvin and Hobbes for Christmas.

That used to be my strategy as well. Then I realized, I didn’t want to have to think about someone with a certain fondness in association w/ these books nor did I have the luxury to trust some guy from north pole. So, about a years ago I went and got myself the perfect gift.
My one piece of advise: handle with care. They’re heavy.

Despite the friendly-yet-anxious demeanor and caring-but-noncommittal, shy, often arrogant and dismissive sensibility I so masterfully exhibited all my life - I’d managed to attract some pretty wonderful people from time to time.
