hahaha.  i’ve DONE this to shirts MANY MANY times.  my mother used to safety pin shirts over which i’d have on a cardigan in the back; buttons (and ribbons) later became my pretty alternative.  literally, ALL of my collared shirts were like this for a few years.  then i lost 40 pounds, became a size zero, and bought new clothes.  that was a mistake.  i’m now a 4.
